Like all good projects they never end. This started out as this http://www.wigle.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1142 All the hardware is the same but in a new box.

12dbi antennas,so when it goes in famlily/friends cars they don't have the mess

Have to have some usb ports

You can see 2 of the 4 mini pci cards.

I use a usb mouse/keyboard plus the touchscreen works( that was a pain the ass to get calibrated) The amps are still being used. Found this at http://www.fab-corp.com/product.php?productid=16336&cat=291&page=1 these might put a end to my amps.

As for no project die. I order a pelican 1450 case so amps, keyboard will all fit in the box and be able to run with the lid closed.

P.S How do you post a link to a single thread?

NICE!

I've been meaning to play around with something like that, a kind of just plug it in and it will do the rest kinda guy.

I love that case too, I have the same one I believe, a Home Depot special right?

Only thing I'd be worried about is those antennas snapping off if it ever fell off the seat, I'd probably throw it in a back seat with the seatbelt on myself.

Overall, great execution, but the biggest question....

How's it work Razz

Thanks I got the case from Lowes. It works great the more cards (radios) you can get the better.

From what I've read

" You must be associated with Unholy Bastards/Nothum Nefastus/Dark Asylum to use this website, or have been invited. Anyone registering that is not associated will be banned."

I think you can if you wanted to Very Happy

So what do you run for hardware?

Lol, I see you've been to my website! Razz

Not to threadjack, but my rig is nothing as elaborate. It's an IBM I series Thinkpad running Debian. I have an SMC2532 card with a $5 mag mount antenna. The GPS is a USB Earthmate.

On boot, it logs itself in, and starts Kismet, so all I need to do is hit the power button. I've been wanting to replace it with a regular PC like he did, so I can wire it in so that it powers itself up when the car is running, and off when I turn the car off, but time is not something I have much of lately, so I havent bothered trying it yet.

This box is much better everything in one place.

Mobo, cards, amps everything runs off one cigarette lighter plug

You have to have ethernet, usb and antenna connectors.

Now all I need is a virgin town of a million aps Shocked ...and figure out what to do with 3 kismet_drones.
