Re: Ranking suggestions

Better still, move 'anonymous' to the group rankings as this is really the correct place for them. That way the rankings can still start from 1 and 0 as current.
TROMOS
That's an even better idea. :)

Ranking suggestions

My wife had a great suggestion today which I'm passing on to here: Why not have user stats page Rankings start at 0, to account for the fact that 'anonymous' isn't any single user, but a collection of users uploading anonymously. That way, any single register member (and individual) can explain to f...

Re: New Layout w/Icons - bug?

You are right! Bluetooth was backwards before, but the issue with Cell were the metrics themselves being off since they were still being detangled from Bluetooth stats. Everything on the personal stats and the stats rankings page should be correct now, they've been recomputed from base de-duped dat...

Re: New Layout w/Icons - bug?

This was a long-standing bug that we did fix recently. The number of networks with a gps fix has to be less than or equal to the total number of networks seen, how we had it before violated that thought exercise (and the code plumbing proved it out). Screenshot from a just 2 weeks ago and now. In t...

New Layout w/Icons - bug?

I like the new column icons in the Users Ranking (Stats -> General) page. But I think the Cell/GPS and Cell columns are labeled backwards. Or more accurately, the data displayed in the columns is reversed. I've checked against older screenshots and confirmed it.

Re: Queued files never gets to ZERO

Over the past few days, whenever the queued files gets near zero, all of a sudden another 1,000 or so get added to the list. Never seen this before. I've been watching this for the last month or so too. Also, it'll have my files in the queue of 1002, 1001, and then start processing the files. Defo ...

Re: New maps and Safari macOS issues

Confirmed. I'm seeing data points on maps in Safari not appearing at all. And on Linux & Firefox, not even the maps are rendering, let alone data points. [edited to add:] Data on Safari finally turned up. Takes awhile to load, but cannot seem to filter any of the data - just get everyone's data no m...

Re: Built my own WiFi AND GSM roaming solutions: What format do I create log files in for GSM data captured?

I should note: file versions should keep reverse compatibility, but you can check https://github.com/wiglenet/wigle-wifi-wardriving for updates to the android client. Also note, CDMA signal data is logged in the same format with a different "Type" value! We are all GSM here in Europe - however, I c...

Any War Roamers going to HiTB AMS? Want to meetup?

Re: Built my own WiFi AND GSM roaming solutions: What format do I create log files in for GSM data captured?

Thanks for your help - I think I got it all sorted & uploads look great! Just one question - I used the header infos as they pertained to a mobile phone I currently already have (I just copied a CSV file it had generated on a roam and already uploaded over to extract said data) - just to ensure that...

Built my own WiFi AND GSM roaming solutions: What format do I create log files in for GSM data captured?

Hi Bobzilla and other Wigle staff and members, For the last few years, I've been building my own dedicated WiFi WarRoaming equipment (based on Kismet) for use on Wigle. Just this last week, I've created a GSM stumbler that can geo-locate up to FOUR x GSM Network Operators at once (ala 4 SIM cards & ...

Re: Joining Groups

Don't hold me to the first part, but I think if you've never joined a group before, the first group you join gets credit for your uploads. I do know this to be true - the credit you earn with a group stays with that group. In other words, you get to keep your individual credit - but the group credit...

Re: Max file size change?

Hi Strasharo, Assuming your on Linux/Unix, there's always multiple ways to do anything. :) You might try looking at the "split" command. You can use this at the command line to split the file size into chunks sizes that will work for uploading, and then manually copy paste the file header into each ...
