Re: Lost latest scanning data when upgrading Android app?

Hi. I've just updated Wigle to 2.18 and I had exactly the same problem. After updating it, it said that upload file would be empty but I still had about 3000 new wifi networks to send. In addition, zeroing the DB marker won't work. It still says that upload file would be empty. Is anything I can do ...

Re: Lost latest scanning data when upgrading Android app?

Yes it's 2.17.

In my particular case I don't mind losing a thousand AP but I'm not sure it there may be an issue somewhere.

Thank you for looking into this. I really hope I did not misinterpreted the problem. Please let me know if I can so anything else to help.

Re: Lost latest scanning data when upgrading Android app?

No, nothing else is lost. The database is also there, it simply looks like the data has been uploaded so there were nothing new to upload, however in the tab that shows my uploads, the previous one is 3 days before the small one after the upgrade.

Lost latest scanning data when upgrading Android app?

Hi. I've run into an issue that may be affecting the latest Android update. I've been scanning as usual with the previous version. I had a few hundreds or thousands of AP scanned. Before uploading them, I have upgraded to the latest version of the Wigle Android app. After the upgrade, I opened the a...

Re: Finding the AP closest to a point

Thanks for your answer. I was thinking in smallest radii, and lat/long are already in polar. In any case, it is still too slow to apply to a huge database like Wigle's. The adaptive boxing idea was to quickly find APs in any region, both populated cities and deserts. I suppose that the best idea is ...

Finding the AP closest to a point

Hi all! I was thinking about a query that Wigle doesn't support (yet). I'm not really asking to support it, I'm just wondering how it could be done. The problem is as follows: given a coordinate P (as Lat/long), find the closest N AP to that point. Obviously, you cannot compute the distance to every...

Re: Flawed data uploaded recently due to GPS errors.

The problem is present in the exported CSV. Some AP are distributed along a straight line. In my own file I have a AP with tens of points going hundreds of kilometers away!

I don't know if it is a problem of the GPS or in Wigle for android :?

Re: Flawed data uploaded recently due to GPS errors.

Mmm I checking again the map (with the "first discovered by me" option) and is worse that I thought. One of the lines is several kilometers long. I'm attaching the map with the lines marked in blue but I cannot associate them to a file. In any case this happened in different uploads. I'll ...

Re: Flawed data uploaded recently due to GPS errors.

I had the same problem with one upload. I was walking and wardriving and the map shows a straight line of about 300 m of bad positioned APs, crossing some blocks. I suppose I had GPS errors at that moment :(

Re: Wigle Wifi for Android: Suggestions

Hi! I'm rather new using Wigle for Android. I installed it a few days ago, and uploaded about 1500 unique AP as anonymous. Then I registered my nick to upload them non-anonymously. I have uploaded 2 files with about 50 AP with no problem. But this morning (Europe time, so it is about one hour ago) I...
