Re: Android: where is exported DB saved?

Phone encryption is a stupid feature that prevents me from reading my own files.

Re: Android: where is exported DB saved?

I concur: Wigle (latest beta version) cannot save the database anywhere in Android 10. I does not even ask to write to external storage and I have enabled all apps to write to external storage from developer options.

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

I think I know now: Pie does not censor WiFi scanning, it censors GPS location. Apples and oranges.

In about 4 months my Nokia 6.1 is expected to get Android Q, so that will fix it.

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

AFAIK Google does its own wardriving. Do you know how to tap its database from my own phone?

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

So, yes, the problem isn't that it does not scan WiFi. The problem is that it shows about 10 of them at the same location. My scanning interval was 750 ms, but only 30 s works reliably (which is usually too long for wardriving).

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

Switched to Wigle FOSS. Does somewhat better, see WiGLE_Upload-20190519-01181 (WigleWifi_20190520000937.csv). But it is still far from good.

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

Yup, it's a getting a GPS fix problem, not a WiFi scanning problem.

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

It's kind of mixed results: networks on display change often, but it does not save them.

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

Is it my mind playing tricks or has it been fixed in Nokia 6.1 build 00WW_3_53A?

Re: Android App isn't mapping WiFis while driving: Rarely displays dark blue and light blue "balloons" while wardriving

I had a Wileyfox Swift running Lineage OS Oreo, it was very good at it, but it had no 5 GHz.

Now I have a Nokia 6.1, which works appallingly with the official Wigle app. For riding about 30 minutes, it shows almost all WiFi detected as grouped in five or six places.

Re: How to correct wrong coordinates?

I should further ask for instruction for correcting mistakes, since it seems I am the only wardriver in my area. The problem is that my tablet is fairly accurate with GPS positioning, but only outside my flat. Inside it goes banana and reports erroneous positions. Therefore I have uploaded erroneous...
