Re: GPS accuracy

Another major factor that causes odd locations to appear on the map is also due to trilateration, but it isn't GPS accuracy that is to blame. I have several small clusters of points in countries that I have never been to! Usually in major cities. The explanation is simple. I discover a mobile hot-sp...

Problem with new Group Statistics

I am unable to view statistics for some groups by hovering over the circles in the new page layout. The table on the left no longer shows total discovered, so there is no way to work out the total for, say, the group currently second in the rankings short of expanding the members list and adding up ...

Re: Ranking suggestions

Better still, move 'anonymous' to the group rankings as this is really the correct place for them. That way the rankings can still start from 1 and 0 as current.

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

I've noticed an improvement in results if I periodically switch wifi off and back on. Obviously this is impractical to do manually for any prolonged period. An automatic toggler may be a way to get round the scan limit as it seems to allow a scan as soon as it is enabled even if that is just a coupl...

Re: DB Limit?

Thanks. I have started a new DB from scratch. Despite not getting around much last month it is already at 124MB! About the only drawback is that I can't really tell how well I'm doing until after I upload as the previous guesstimate of 60-70% of 'new' translated to new first finds is no longer the c...

Re: DB Limit?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, hectic month! 'DBbrowser for SQLite' under Win7 on my laptop seems to read the file OK. I haven't tried anything that would be more taxing than a simple read and display.

Re: Map Color

Configurable is a winner! Those that liked the change can keep it, those that preferred the old way (including me) can also get what they want. :D

Re: DB Limit?

Hi Bobzilla,
I had copied all the files to an external HD before wiping. Win 7 reports the size of the SQLite file as 2,148,102,144 bytes. Not exactly 2**31, but maybe near enough to raise suspicions?

Re: DB Limit?

Sounds good to me. I have deleted all and re-installed. Getting by for now with a new database, the only drawback being that I can't tell if I've hit rich pickings or just collecting lots of repeats. I can live with that for the time being as I will probably replace the device soon (very poor at han...

Re: DB Limit?

Thanks for your efforts. I would already have tried clearing everything and re-installing, but I had some problems when I went through the process of importing my observations almost a couple of years ago. I had over 2 million observed and was hitting an import limit. Eventually bobzilla bumped the ...

Re: DB Limit?

Storage settings are reporting 6.85 GB available (out of 14.46). so that is hopefully more than enough.
Thanks for looking into the problem.

DB Limit?

Every time I try to start WiGLE, I get a "Fatal DB Problem" message. I have sent the error report via e-mail. I notice that the size of my SQLite database is now 2 gigs. Is this a hard limit? If so, how do I carry on?

Re: Import observed seems to have limit

UPDATE: Tried again this morning, it stopped ticking up at 76.9% again, but I left it alone. When I checked after an hour or so, it had successfully completed. Yay!!! :D Thanks for your time and patience. Hopefully I can now carry on for a few more years before I need to trouble you for another boun...

Re: Import observed seems to have limit

Tried 3 times. It gets to 76.9% and just stops. At least it's past the two million mark now, but still fails to complete. Any ideas?

Re: Import observed seems to have limit

Cleared tablet down and re-installed Wigle to ensure a clean start. Did the 'import observed'. It went to 100%, but all I got was 2000000.
Sorry to be a pest. Did the bounce to 3 million somehow bounce back to 2?
