Re: Wigle Wifi for Android: Suggestions

Cool, current code for the M5 Atoms has been using "model=AtomWigler" and "device=M5ATOMGPS" since 1.4. The values were "model=GPS Kit" and "device=M5ATOM" in Lozaning's original code up through 1.3 mods by Luke, which I have one device still running. Should b...

Re: Wigle Wifi for Android: Suggestions

Seeing the addition of the device type in the Uploads display tip-out this morning -- nice! I like it. Follow-on question: how do the 'device' entries correlate to the valuse shown in the Stats > Octet/Channel/File > "Type" table on the far right? I can see the phone models go under Stats ...

Re: Wigle Wifi for Android: Suggestions

I just have a habit of always uploading in the same order - S7, S9, Pixel, Wispy, Jhewitt-mod. The JH units I can tell apart from their number also. Can get a little goofy on days with multiple drives, but it works for me. With my AtomGPs units I rename files pulled off each so I know what’s what. I...

Re: Master list of WiFi AuthMODES?

Yep AuthMode is the thing! Working on the AtomGPS with Luke and trying to homogenize various approaches and naming.

Will take a closer look at your info, thanks!

Master list of WiFi AuthTypes?

Hi guys, I asked privately and then thought to search the Board, but found nothing. Q: Is there a list of ‘standard’ naming for AuthType entries that Wigle expects or tolerates for inputs in the wigle.csv? Comparing code from JHewitt, LyndLabs, and other efforts there are some variations and also so...

Re: iOS App for Wardriving

Apple never opened up the APIs necessary to build a war driving app for iOS after squashing attempts to keep WiFiFoFum alive via fun hacks.

Kismet worked/works on MacBooks with the right USB adapter, I haven't messed around with that for a long time...

Re: Desktop software to view observations ?

You can also turn on Settings > Map Settings > Log routes for execution, and then use the Database > Saved Routes screen to export GPX to export files that can be viewed in a variety of GPX apps on the desktop.

Re: Display issue when the auto-rotate option is enabled (V2.67 / Android 11)

Oh hey, I've randomly seen the 'dark mode' transition on my Galaxy S9 (Android 10) but never attributed it to screen rotation! If I can recreate this I'll report more info -- sitting here flipping it back and forth and the colors stay as-is.

Re: Wigle Map default position

You should get prompted to let your browser use your location - that will reset to your general area.

Re: WiGLE WiFi for Android phone performance comparison

Very cool information. Is the S20 just a stock OS? I run an S7 Edge and an old Core Prime together all the time, and the stuff found by one but not the other is always an interesting thing.

Re: Who the heck drew a spiral?!?!

There are a variety of intentional shapes in the maps, not sure there is a good way to find them other than browsing about, but I have found smiley faces and even a swastika from what appeared to be very planned runs...

Re: DIY Box Reflector - sick gainz!

My WiFi router sits to one side of my house, on an outside wall, leaking signal into the neighbors lot. Curious how putting one of these behind the router, or each of the four antenna, would boost my signal in the farther areas of the house. Next Amazon box I receive might just have to launch a few ...
