The webmaps are rendered in squares, the size of the dot is dependent on the number of points in that area, so in areas where there is less density, the dots are larger to make them easier to read (especially in sparsely populated areas). I have a Magellan Meridian Plantinum. It's total overkill for wardriving, but if you have other hobbies like geocaching, it's a great GPS. There is a color version but IMHO it doesn't add much to it. Great functionality/features and of course you must have NMEA.
