Re: portable home-made war-driving gear

no concrete answers (building a similar rig myself right now, so I'll post here as I learn things), but: 1. if you're ntp sync'd when you start, I would think that should be fine. I was specifically worried about GPS accuracy, which is what led me to add a hardware clock module. I probably over-thou...

Re: Unable to upload through app or through website

Re: Unable to upload through app or through website

That's as-designed, and the CORS policy should be configured to allow that subdomain.
What browser are you using?

Re: portable home-made war-driving gear

Looking good! You decided you could do without the realtime clock module? Ive been debating whether or not to add it to my new pi 4-based rig.

Re: Expose a new form of cyber crime

I'm afraid we can't help with the larger problems of device security, although we encourage you to keep your devices up-to-date with patches and security releases, to avoid clicking on suspicious links, jailbreaking your phone, or 'side loading' applications. Regarding networks in the list view of t...

Re: Map not working (blank screen in android app)

in-app, the map shows your current efforts by default - this means the networks you can see right now from where you are. (blue pins for found networks, or aggregate "bubbles" if there are a lot of them). If you want to turn on map overlays (showing networks logged from WiGLE), check out the map opt...

Re: Wigle csv format questions

Mostly, this data is used for model-specific data corrections (if there's a ...

Re: Suggestion: NMEA support in the WiGLE CSV Format

I experienced such immense envy of everyone doing ipaq stumbling - I had a crappy handspring for development and all my stumbling was done with a bulky laptop, PCMCIA card, pigtail, antenna, and USB GPS module that was SO SLOW to get a fix and unreliable.

Re: Suggestion: NMEA support in the WiGLE CSV Format

when we started WiGLE one of our very first patches to a related project was for dachb0den's excellent "dstumbler" to help compensate for the fact that certain GPSes were reporting NMEA sentence GPS coordinates in packed " sexigesimal " instead of decimal minutes! ([D]DDMMSSss instead of [D]DDMMmmm....
