heh, sorry for the delay. I don't check the forums that much anymore. Last I used the card was under 3.3 fully patched up. I have retired the laptop I had open on for the most part, so it hasn't been up'd in a while, and my infra servers make really lousy portable stumbling rigs. they're a little he...

the senao is what I've been using for a couple of years now. you can also find them at http://netgate.com/ "branded" as engenius if you'd like a definite new one. I think I picked my first one up at defcon 10 from schmoo, but I've purchased from netgate as well. openbsd liked mine, even wi...

At least you didn't banish them to Blorch... the slaughtering rat people would severely degrade the WiGLE Customer Service Organization.

but this is 30% of a larger sample population. 30% of 10 is 3, of 100 is 30. somewhere in this 27 people decided to do what 3 had previously done. Why? I agree that the averages are the same, and that it indicates that very little headway has been made, but I know 5 to 7 of those "27" are ...

A very good point. It's good that the community has some consensus on the base checklist of things which must before done before a user deploys an AP, but it also makes it difficult to to explain that these things do not stop an attacker, they just make you a less convenient target for people who do...

Sorry NinjaPablo. It wasn't _your_ angle I was questioning :) It's a hobby. It may seem strange, but I think underwater basket weaving is strange as well, and don't get me started on "scrapbooking"... The education issue of "raising people's awareness" might seem hollow because a...

you realize you're putting high-power microwaves ... you know, the stuff you cook food with in that little box with all of the buttons ... very close to your person? :) so, being neither a doctor nor a lawyer, I would guess that if living next to microwave towers and high-power transmission lines ha...

This isn't directly helpful since I don't know the kit you're speaking of or where to get it, but if you are interested in antennas, I know several wigle submitters get antennas and other things from http://fab-corp.com (Fleeman Anderson & Bird). I've personally ordered from them (antennas and p...
