You can modify some bluetooth dongles using commercial firmware/ software like FTS4BT Bluetooth Protocol Analyzer & Packet Sniffer. Once you can get it to just give you raw data passively its easy enough to knock something up to GPS tag it when something its first seen.

kismet drones support is interesting, I think it will not really be used by a bulk of their users. Not sure in Linux/wine support is needed as Kismet is king and has so many more features and is just better all round.

Re: Rebuild

I finally got sick of fighting old school Lucent Orinoco pcmcia cards/firmware/drivers and rs-232 serial GPS and decided to refresh with all USB gear. So far so good, system is stable and collects well. Easy on and off, GPS is powered by laptop so one less thing to feed batteries to, or turn back o...

Putting a mobile Internet router on a yellow school bus has transformed a crowd of rowdy, bored teens into a quiet and well-behaved flock of studious students. That experiment at the...

I know this thread is a little old and I don't want to feel like a necrophiliac but the new Nokia N900 runs the new build of Kismet really nicely but the GPS in it is not great and the wireless is not massively sensitive, so don't expect it to pick up as much as your laptop. The same could be said f...

I'm from the UK, I live just outside of Worthing. I just joined a few days ago as some of the guys from Brighton 2600 started war walking/driving again. I'm a little competitive, so I should be adding a lot of new AP's. I've not really done any war driving in the last 8 or so years, it was part of m...

I'm running whatever is the latest release of Kismet as off today, I just got round to grabbing the source and compiling it, instead of using an old build. I also updated my copy of GPSd. Hardwarewise, I'm running the smallest, cheapest laptop I had laying about not doing much, which is a Dell X300,...
