Of course the ideal implementation would have WorldWind make queries straight to WiGLE through the general API over HTTP(S). However, WorldWind doesn't support this sort of functionality for non-terrain sources. I've put in a feature request, but it might help if others asked too. Get all your frien...

Transformation Script

I'll be writing a perl script to transform cache files into the XML format that WorldWind uses after school is done in May unless someone beats me to it. It's really quite easy. It could also be combind with a script to fly along tracks, which would be quite cool.

Re: Already on it

Yep, that's what I've been hackin' away at, converting it to VB function by function, lol. Slow process but maybe one of these days I'll get it done. Hey Mentat, you wouldn't by chance know how to fix the offset would you? Seems that the USGS is using a different North reference or something. Which...

Re: Lat and Lon

Well Longitude is East and West where Lattitude is North and South. Don't bother though, the "Get MapPacks" thing isn't written yet, lol. Direct terraserver support as well as support for a 3 page list of map sources I have here is planned, but first I've gotta learn how to convert UTM to...

RSS Stats

How about making an RSS feed with the stats? It would be nice to read them with a newsreader. However I realize that might have an adverse affect on advertising, so I totally understand if you don't want to.

Accessing an "open" network and especially logging into the AP without permission is illegal. If I were you I wouldn't talk about it in a public forum where law enforcement may (and probably do) read.

Disturbing Developments in Police Perspective

http://akma.disseminary.org/archives/001518.html is the story of a blogger who was told that he could not use him laptop within range of a public Wifi network. Personally I would have told the officier to kiss it. If I can't use my private items in a legal manner in public, what can I do in this cou...

There must be some perlscriptable way to set this up. I'm going to see if I can come up with something after looking at the directions in more detail.

I've been wondering about this too. So you're saying that if a network is found without GPS, and if GPS coordinates are later supplied, that network does not become a new network with GPS? Does it just change in the aggregate stats then? Or does it not affect stats at all?

I'd just like to make something to make it pretty and easy. Sort of like the stuff for 3dem (http://www.visualizationsoftware.com/3dem.html) loading images for mapping onto elevation models.
