Re: I am not expert but I am determined to find out why there is a wireless network in the swamp behind my property. LOL

before you assume the worst (or grab your guns), note that WiGLE displays what are called "signal-weighted trilaterated centroids" for networks. it's possible that someone deployed that network on one side of your swamp, then the other, and the location has averaged out to where it has due to either...

Re: Almost all missing blue balloons during wardriving.

we've spent a significant amount of time trying to diagnose this issue in private communication. The following answers are provided to illustrate our debugging process and suggest new avenues for remediation. Note that none of the cases enumerated here are likely to respond to "app-side" fixes. This...

Re: Google Android 9 and up: We won't fix WiFi Scanning

No one has done a kernel level fix that we're aware of. It's possible to approximate a fix on Pie by split-screen running the Settings "WiFi List" tool with WiGLE WiFi, since Google exempted their own apps from the limit.

Re: Wigle reset scanning after unplugging power?

it's still strange - the symptoms you've described suggest that the "run" is stopped and restarted when you unplug the device; not something that's intended to happen. we'll keep looking for more data to figure out why this would happen.

Re: Wigle Android BT block/filter feature

You can un-hide MACs by removing their entries from the exclusion list. The "wrench" icon in the main view brings up filter control, and the buttons will let you manage the lists.

Re: Wigle reset scanning after unplugging power?

that sounds almost like the application has crashed and been re-launched... or has been terminated. Can you send us (pm or email to wigle-admin[at] if you prefer) the crash logs from the device? If the device terminates the app, there won't be anything in the log, but on the off chance that...

Re: Wigle reset scanning after unplugging power?

the displayed list on the screen isn't cumulative - it's just showing the current visible networks (unless you configure it otherwise). The totals (the "Run" and new WiFi/Cell/BT headers in the list view shown in green/red/blue) should continue to increase. If these DO reset to zero when you unplug,...
