I'm on vacation at the moment stumbling multiple cities covering a LOT of miles daily. I'm running 2 laptops. One is my navigation box running XP Pro, Globalsat BU-353 GPS puck, Netstumbler, and Delorme Street Atlas USA 2006. The second laptop is the workhorse running Kismet on top of Knoppix 3.8.2 ...

Re: KNSGEM released -- Kismet NS1 to Google earth boundary p

If you like mapping the networks you've stumbled you might like to try Knsgem.

http://www.rjpi.com/knsgem.htm

It processes your NS1 and Kismet csv, xml and gps files into Google Earth 3D boundary plots.
Good job!

Be a good citizen and compress the file. It'll save bandwidth for everyone. Absolutely! Well said. I ".tar.gz" all my uploads of which all are multiple files into one compressed file that WiGle uncompresses and runs. I usually have ~100 - 200 MB uncompressed Kismet files that compress dow...

Re: well

er, lacking any specifics: probably not. As to the issue of "first seen" dates being 0000-00-00 00:00:00, I've been doing some testing. Look at WiGLE transaction ID 20060214-00023. Any new networks I upload in NS1 native format have 0000-00-00 00:00:00 as the date first seen. New networks...

They advised me that we can get the same information by using one of the WiGLE clients like JiGLE, etc. Perhaps one of the admin...

Re: What size type black pipe

I have seen the one on Ebay you mentioned. I too, have thought of making one myself. If you don't mind telling, what size (diameter) pipe did you use? Was it PVC or metal? Thanks for any information. Harvey I used 1" OD black pipe. I would not trust PVC at the 1" diameter size. I'd want i...

After seeing a $25 dollar version on eBay http://www.mobilelaptopmount.com , I decided to made my own with black pipe and Plexiglass for about $10 and it allows a passenger to comfortably sit in the passenger seat. It can be screwed to the floor or transmission hump or mounted under the dash. It jus...
