Re: whitedice locates a MILLION in 21 months!

Holy cow, bartman! Just noticed this on the Stats: Rank: 1 Username: whitedice Discovered Networks with GPS: 1,001,333 Percentage of Total Networks with GPS: 7.791% All Networks Recorded: 1,353,524 Networks This Month with GPS: 24,370 First Post: 30-Apr-2006 Last Post: 17-Jan-2008 He's the only man...

As per the first sentence of this thread, the problem wasn't accuracy, the problem was GPS not correlating location with some APs at all. Looking through the stats, I have 10,000 APs that I found, but have no location for. Looking up through the stats, this seems to be a common problem for many. Si...

I'm not familiar with a Nokia 810, but apparently someone has installed Kismet on a Nokia 800. Your mileage may vary, not responsible for accidents, etc.

That the only way to learn :D If it worked without any problems how much fun would that be?

Are you going to post a how to? If its going to be semi-permanent why not use every card it will run? This has all been done, on the automation, I am trying to avoid re-inventing the wheel. I have a CF-28, it has two miniPCI and three PCMCIA, so it could run five cards, all internally. I am poor fo...

I'm wanting to move away from PCMCIA completely. For the last year I've been driving with an old IBM A-21 (2 PCMCIA), and recently got an old Panasonic Toughbook (which is very cool). It has 3 PCMCIA slots, but I want to use the Toughbook with two miniPCI cards, and make it a 'trunk monkey'. It is ...

I have dual PCMCIA laptop, but am wanting to mod a laptop to use the miniPCI cards, and then install a small threaded connector of some sort (SMA?) on the laptop. The miniPCI card would basically stay connected then. Thanks for the tip, I'll check on them. So you are going to use three radios? Two ...

Re: Am I missing anything?

Preface: First post, hi, etc. Now that that's out of the way, I've recently begun wardriving with a very simple setup and I'd like to get a little more efficiency out of my drives. I've been doing quite a bit of reading and I think I've found some gear that looks appealing without getting too terri...

Excellent idea, thanks. When I am dropping GPS, the ones I miss are indeed adjacent. I do more driving on highways than I do slowly, and I know I am missing a lot anyway. I need to get the second card/antenna combo working again with Kismet. Driving slower will help though. Depending on AP density,...

Re: Wigle input

I am the member of a 5 person group that performs wardriving quite extensively while on travels for work, etc. I don't directly contribute to wigle, but the data I provide is put into a group file (from everyone) and one of my teammates submits the information to wigle and other sites. In 18 months...

Re: Working config

The rig I use is much simpler than that pictured (no offense)... there is no need to create something crazy with wires, etc... to the point that a police officer will pull you over and ask all kinds of questions. No offense taken. Thats why it's a work in progress. Remember War driving is not a cri...

Littledave can correct me if I am wrong... Your not Littledave, I would be curious to know if you have tested the different components separately as to what kind of results you got with the 2 amped mobile mark antennas vs. just the 2 drones? Not really, the amps do make a huge difference. I will hav...
