Looks like they're broken again. Neither Firefox of IE 6.x can see them. I noticed this earlier this morning while trying to map out some new drives for today... I notified the WiGLE staff and they said they were on it. Luckily I had archived areas that I was interested in at one point in time. Hop...

Re: Life Wardriving Cam

I have installed a wabcam in my wardrive car, i'm a lot on the road so this image will change frequently between GMT 8h30 and GMT 00h30 http://www.wardrivers.be/wealy/tracker_img.php?driver_id=2 Very cool Petzl! Do you have some type of how-to documentation available? I have also been thinking of d...

Re: magellan gps 31x mods....

FYI, xport ( http://curioustech.home.insightbb.com/xport.html ) is a great, FREE way to share your com ports (up to 8 of them) between mappoint, streets and trips, and netstumbler....

Re: WiGLE turns 4 million (networks)!

WiGLE's unstoppable-juggernaut users have pushed the total count past 4 million networks with location observed over the last four years.
All Hail WiGLE! There is no stopping us!

volunteer investigation program

Scenario: I drive around with fakeap and create a few thousand entries. I digitally sign those files, and submit to wigle. Boom, tainted database. Yup, I was talking with someone the other day regarding this type of issues and we came to the conclusion if someone really wanted to they could dissemi...

Re: kiss

It may be interesting to check a couple of the higher count usernames (I have my suspicisions, but will NOT air those in public discussion) and see if it can be pinned down to a user, and thus a specific file or files parsed. I have always wondered why submitted data isn't digitally signed so that ...

I see your point, but I have trouble believing that no one before was able to detect all those APs in a small town, especially those that are so evening spaced on the highways. I am still interested to know whether or not anyone else has been down there to verify or discredit these issues? This wou...

That's why I'm hoping Israel will eventually sniff through the areas that I ran through in Los Angeles, to raise the QoS level of them to something other than 1. L.A. is the place, I can't believe the plethora of APs there are there for the logging. I will eventually hit the areas you ran through.....

I'm going to have to say that there are no homes for any APs out there. I've noticed during some of my wardriving adventures through misguided farmlands here in california I get APs and nowhere in sight is something I would consider having an AP... All I see are tractors, water sprinklers, small sh...

Just playing advocate here: Has anyone actually wardriven the area to verify/deny any of these access points ? Unless that sat img is within the last 2 months it may be possible these networks may have a home. Additionally it may be possible this behavior is occuring due to a wardriver logging data ...

Re: How often do the maps update?

curious as to when the webmaps update with the new daily info. PostPosted: 25 Aug 2005 16:12 The web maps reload every night, so at most it's 24 hours old. It's possible that the areas you're looking at need better data to shift points to where they belong. If you're pretty sure something's in the ...
