Re: Does Wigle just hate my phone regarding cell towers?
The app asks the OS framework for currently connected cell tower, it's up to the underlying OS to decide whether to return results or not, so it will vary by device/manufacturer/version.
WiGLE at Defcon 24
A few of us WiGLE folks will be at Defcon again this year. We'll still be the ones in ridiculous black labcoats, in the desert, in August. Come say hi!
Re: Confused by statistics disparity
Ah, the rank query was including non-default events (like an old world wide war drive). Should be fixed now, thanks for the bug report!
Re: Confused by statistics disparity
When you first load the view it shows what was cached during the last request, it then makes a new request in the background and updates the view. If that background request failed you wouldn't see the new number. You can go to a different view and come back to it, and make sure you are on a working...
Re: Confused by statistics disparity
The file will have everything since the last upload, which may include several "runs" of the wigle wifi client.
Re: How long should it take for stats to refresh?
It's an eventually-consistent pipeline, personal stats are updated at a later stage so they won't necessarily be updated the moment a file finishes its processing.
Re: Trilateration
It should, if there are observations from all sides. If all observations are on the north side of a device, it will always appear to be north of its actual location.
Re: Web maps showing "Plot Error, Apologies"
Well no, means something else ate too many resources and it was restarted, so it is not expected usually.

Re: I need fast help. Export data location
Sounds like second phone doesn't have access to the virtual sdcard, it will need approval, you can dig into the settings in the android applications menu to give it. Without that approval it can only write to the per-app storage that's not accessible from outside the app.

Re: Wigle Wifi Wardriving for Android ver. 1.53 (Sep 16, 2012)

1) The csv/kml outputs are all the observations seen. If you want to filter for best signal you'd have to process the files to only grab one per network. You could also grab the 'network' table from the sqlite database on the device on the physical or virtual sdcard in the wiglewifi/wiglewifi.sqlite...
