Re: airport extreme and injection

hi
i have the R98realease of kismac and an airport extreme card in a powerbook
i can't check in passive mode the ''use primary device'' box
You might want to post that on the KisMAC developer list or check the bug posts on trac.kismac.de.

I just picked up a Holux GPSlim 236 bluetooth receiver and paired it up with my iBook G4 and KisMac R98. It also works a fabulously with gpsd 2.31.

AND it works great with my iPaq 5455 and WiFiFoFum2, still my primary stumbling gear!

Guess you won't be pursuing that Microsoft fingerprint reader integration quite as strongly as you have been though, eh? :-)

Check out http://trac.kismac.de/ for current builds and developer fun, and http://www.freelists.org/archives/kismac/ for discussions. There is a ton of activity of late, including more stable builds for Airport Extreme passive mode and a Universal Binary.

Also, check out the development version of KisMAC--passive stumbling is supported for Airport Extreme now. Do you have a link to the dev version? Foo, why is it always the google search you do AFTER posting that yields what you are looking for... http://www.netstumbler.org/showthread.php?t=15761 Ki...

Check out WiFiFoFum over at http://www.aspecto-software.com/ . Or miniStumbler might work, depending on your hardware http://www.stumbler.net/ As far as cracking WEP codes and what-not, PPC probably isn't the optimal platform. You could try installing Linux and running Kismet, but it'd be much easie...

Aha, does that account for me seeing the stats at 4.9 million a day or two ago, and now at a mere 4.77 million?

What version of WiFiFoFum? Actually that doesn't matter...ns1 file are badly broken in WFFF. Save your data from WFFF in .txt format and massage into an acceptable form to upload to WiGLE. Your best bet is to use the awk-based conversion script posted on the forums by stavr0. This is what I've been ...

3 point 5!

I was watching the counter last night as it sat at 3,499,628. Sadly I didn't have any files to push it that last 372 APs...

Now I see we've passed 3-point-5 -- 3,503,424 at 11:20 a.m. CDT. Amazing!

Maps aren't happy with Safari 1.3 (v312) under OS X 10.3.9. The map doesn't display at all. :-(

Everything is mucho happy under Firefox, so I'm still a happy Mac user!

Way Cool!

That is seriously cool, a most excellent mashup indeed!

One glitch encountered using Safari 1.3 under Mac OSX 10.3.9 -- the pop-up details for each balloon come up empty. The details floater is there, just no content. The contents do appear under Firefox 1.0.4.
