Re: Live view of BT devices

Seems like part of our deny-features-to-users-who-want-them program! Honestly, it's weird; it's supposed to work the way you want it to.

Want to email or pm us details? Happy to discuss here, too, but don't want to make you publish device/carrier/os details unless you want to

Re: New maps and Safari macOS issues

Solid catches on these: .map files: debug info the console requests to de-condense minified JavaScript. Only happens when the console is loaded, so harmless! Somehow the new library isn't willing to send auth session cookies to the tile server in safari, we're working on it! All the filters but (onl...

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

I was excited to hear that they were fixing the location stuff, too - now if they'd just do it for network scanning!

Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

it definitely is significantly more limited in WiFi scanning. It shouldn't limit Cell/Bluetooth scanning any more than previous versions.

Re: PokingStick(tm) time...

Well, it's a WiGLE secret, but the kittens handle uploads, and hamsters handle geo-indexing. It turns out that they are much better at geography then cats!

They're partitioned in our infrastructure because cats resent this, and aren't very nice to hamsters as a result.

Re: PokingStick(tm) time...

It's not wedged, just heavily utilized. In particular, the WiGLE GeoHamsters trained for average load, and so are lagging behind... But you'll find the maps and stats are updating as you'd expect. We had a high volume weekend, but we're also busy preparing to release A New Feature... This processing...

Re: Best file format for creating my own log files

hi there! Which file format are you working toward? There are a lot of formats that'll do the trick - but if you want something simple and easy to emulate, the WiGLE CSV 1.4 format (as generated by WiGLE WiFi Wardriving) is a pretty good option. Details are here Cheers, and thanks for your interest!...

Re: How accurate is the map filter to only show what I have discovered?

For starters, check out the observation polygons for some of these APs, see whether they've been observed in places you've been?

There are a lot of interesting ways this can happen, but the list above are the most common!

Cheers, and thanks for your interest!

Re: Android Wigle doesn't see my network connectivity; refuses to behave.

this is a new one! first: I promise we won't even suggest a factory reset. WiGLE's a userland app, and shouldn't be able to break anything outside of its own settings. first: can you try deauthorizing and re-authorizing in the Settings screen? During the oreo upgrade, Google unintentionally prematur...

Re: Uploaded CSV parsed successfully; no results and empty KML

Hi there Thanks for your interest! we support a number of different CSV serializations, corresponding to the formats listed on our uploads page. I think there are actually some formats closer to what you proposed supported under other folks' CSV formats, but if you want a tried-and-true order, you c...
