Can I send my own wifi locations with my own software?

Suggestions for WiGLE/JiGLE/DiGLE

Hi,

Sorry if my question is stupid, I'm new here :)

I'm the author of RemoteTracker (http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net), an opensource application for Windows Mobile based device to let you track remotely your device if it was lost or stolen.

I'm looking for solutions to add features for non GPS devices and found OpenCellID and this site. I can store/retrieve informations to/from opencellid to set/get cell towers coordinates.

My question is: can I do the same with wigle?

I made a small application to "learn" the position of cell towers and wifi spots while you are walking or driving (if someone has interest I can upload here). For CellIDs I send these informations to OpenCellId and I would like to do the same for WiFi. Now I save them to xml.

I search for an API, but I didn't find :(

Any help will be great.

Cheers,
Joubert

Most people find out,

that does not exist for any.

Now go read the FAQ.

there is currently no public API, but the posting of data to the site is just a simple HTTP POST. no fuss, no muss. see http://wigle.net/gps/gps/main/postfile/
I'm trying to use the API and having a problem. I want to do a lookup solely by MAC address. There doesn't seem to be any way to do that --- it requires that I gave a geographical area. But I can't do that, since I don't know where I am.
I wrote back on your other thread just now, but I'll write here as well: the query page has a MAC search.

-bobzilla - WiGLE.net just a little bit
