JiGLE not showing AP's

I am attempting to use JiGLE with either a downloaded Mappack or one's that I have created myself. All of the mappacks so far do not show any AP's or their locations in JiGLE. Only the maps show. I am assuming that JiGLE is supposed to look like and function similar to the "Web Maps" web browser client. Has anybody encountered a similar problem? And if so how did you solve it?

My host system is linux Ubuntu 11.04 running GNOME 2.32.1

According to the log JiGLE is reporting "INFO: Loaded 0 stations" after each query.

I also see the occasional "WARNING: Load: Can't find file 'WiGLEAPI.properties'", but this is probably due to me clicking on the properties menu bar item.

No other related errors seem to present themselves.
