More downtime. Boo on consumer electronics.

I recently purchased an SMC wireless cable modem/dsl router box, and it worked great for about a week. Today it decided to stop getting dhcp ip's off of the cable modem. After trying many things, it has been determined that it will go back to microcenter, and the linux box that was doing the firewall/routing/wireless is now back online. More noise, more power, more heat, but more reliability. <sigh>
