PokingStick<sm> is only for the cases where we KNOW it's your fault.. Or when we want to reward you ;)

Oh oh unless it was a california thing I don't think I broke anything.

Sometimes I have noticed around 11pm california time that web maps goes offline for a bit or something because all I see at that time are broken images. Other than that I haven't had any problems with web maps.

:)

Looks like they're broken again. Neither Firefox of IE 6.x can see them.

I noticed this earlier this morning while trying to map out some new drives for today... I notified the WiGLE staff and they said they were on it. Luckily I had archived areas that I was interested in at one point in time. Hopefully they yield well in today's run.

they're back.
fwiw, these intermittent scale outages only affect the webmaps.
real clients are unimpeded, much faster for local work, allow offline access of caches and local stumblefiles. and they smell nice!

now how much would you pay!?

I'd buy that for a dollar! ;)

If it is easy enough to implement it would be cool if when the web-maps were in this type of state it would show some type of "out of service" or even better "gone fishing" message rather than showing the broken tiles. Or maybe some type of RSS feed that simply states if it is in service or out of service :)

... I don't know, I just know I am getting the shakes!
