actually, this is correct. using a GPS device one could get the exact physical location of a kidnap victim (+/- GPS accuracy), but one has to wonder what this information would be good for since standing by said victim holding a GPS device up to them to record their exact location would probably tip your hand. however, IANAKidnapper so I may be wrong on the helpfulness of this procedure. An excellent bit of reporting, pointing out the nefarious uses of GPS devices to the unsuspecting public!
