Can I convert a pcmcia card modem into a wireless card?

The gear needed for wardriving

I have an "old" pc card modem.
It is a "Banksia" "PCM14.4F" Data FaxModem.
Now,is there any way I can possibly use this thing as a wireless card, with an External antenna?
Speaking of antenna's,would a trucking antenna be any good for maximum range for wardriving?
Because I know they can get fairly high in the DBI(I think that's what it is called).
Also,if it "IS" possible,I am using "windows 2000 professional",if anybody has any software for this project.
Anyhow, message me if ayou have any thoughts on this or what I can or can't do.
cheers.

You want to know if you can change a modem with a rj11 jack into a wifi card? Are you serious?

He's not the same guy that posted on the Netstumbler forums is he?

Anyway, it's a simple two-step process.

1. Throw PCMCIA modem out window / into bin / into fire
2. Buy wireless card and use it.

YoEleven: no, you cannot.
That isn't true, If you want, you can remove the cover on the wifi card and replace it with the cover from modem card. Might void the warranty, but who cares, its not like 14.4 modems are good for anything.
