I have this Tough-book laying around. Thinking about turning it into a rig for in the car. It has the Intel Centrino 1.2Ghz chip, 1.25GB ram and a 40GB Hard Drive. Some Intel 2200BG Wifi Card. Windows XP that been modded for updates.

Would Windows Xp Still work for scanning networks or should I goto Kali Linux? Or another *unix?
What Wireless card would be good? Looking to stick an antenna on the roof of the car.
What GPS Receiver?

It does have two PCMCIA card slots, and 1 USB jack. A USB Hub can be used.

Just looking for ideas as I have this thing laying around collecting dust and its still like new.
