I am new on here. I have a Motorola G4 play with Android 6.0.1. I am of course using the Wigle WiFi Wardriving app. I don't seem to pick up as many points for some weird reason as I did with other devices (pre 6.0). Does anyone have any idea what might be my problem? It is a new phone and I did not root it or mess with any settings in Wigle WiFi. It does seem to pick up points when I have the screen turned on but I wonder if something is going to sleep when I turn the screen (not the device itself) off. With any luck it might be something simple but I would not know what it is or where to look. I am in an urban area (Pittsburgh) and of course they are usually full of points to map and I have mapped thousands of points with other devices.

Some phones will turn off or lower GPS functionality when the screen is turned off (also known as standby mode). Check your location or battery settings, might be an option in there.
