Why does the Wigle Android app ask to manage and make phone calls?
See subject, it's probably a n00b question, but I haven't been able to find the answer in the FAQ nor in the forums.
I did find this on Reddit, basically "because it wants your IMEI and/or make and/or manage phone calls", which is really not much of an explanation.
So I'm still interested. The app in general seems to be doing what it's supposed to.

The permission titles are usually vast oversimplifications - this is is the permission we need scan for cellular radios.
For a while, we had to ask to access the filesystem to store our database, which eventually got simplified to "Access Documents and Photos" which freaked a bunch of people out.
