Is it just me, or does anyone else find it ironic that a website devoted to wireless snooping opens with a banner protesting invasion of privacy?

I've been outside the box. There's a bigger box.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and eventually you will run out of fish.

No, I just find it ironic that you would compare logging points on a map without attempting to invade the users privacy ironic. Wigle.net has never promoted the illegal access of anyone's system, and is only logging information that is broadcast to open space for anyone that passes. One of the purposes of the WiFi beacon is to assist other users in finding a less populated channel to use. That indicates to me that monitoring for the presence of an access point is meant to be free and open.

Ironic indeed.

it is important to understand the scope and application of the bill of rights: they are restrictions on the government. "Congress shall make no law"
we are and have always been staunch privacy supporters;
use cryptography to help protect your communications, people.
