Could the Android WiGLE WIFI app please have a geofencing feature to turn off recording in an area? CellMapper supports geofencing within X meters of one location, while Strava hides location near multiple addresses.

For places where a person tends to often be, the recordings are redundant, and on the map, many items get clumped together. It can also be a privacy issue.

I saw a discussion about using third-party apps, but I mean a native feature.

Sorry, - there are too many cases for automation for us to implement them all in-app.
As you pointed out, there are guides to implementing it with Tasker and other intent systems.
I'll note that the client is open source if you want to submit a PR.
