Digle can't find any station

I have downloaded Digle 0.1.1 for Win(XP) and appropriate map, say Boulder County.
Connect to Wingle on-line, the map is shown, but message says: "Received 0 stations."

Do I do something wrong?

Your best bet is to go wardriving in your county with a supported software version and GPS, then upload your logs. It wouldn't surprise me if there are hundreds of counties in the USA without so much as a single AP listed within them. Boulder county, Colorado? That seems kind of odd, but it could be that out of all the wardrivers there, none of them are posting logs to WiGLE.

OK. Do you know any location that works, so I could check if my Digle works?

Well I've racked up close to 3,000 stations in Johnson County, KS and there's about 5500 or so total in this county, I think :)

Another thing to try is go to the Web Maps section and type in your zip code to see if anything shows up on the web maps near you.

Also, make sure you select "connect to WiGLE" instead of "load local" in the DiGLE client.

Something is cludgy somewhere. Might even be on the server end. I know not how DiGLE talks to the database of stations. Hopefully one of the DiGLE creators will peek into here soon.

interesting, tell me more?

I don't see any obvious reasons why you'd be having problems; both counties mentioned are working well (client-and-server-side).

Let's do a checklist:
- are you behind a proxy for www hits?
- are you behind rewriting firewall? (some of these hate gzipped data)
- how large is the file mentioned in the console (there should be a .WiGLE and a .WiGLE.gz in that directory)
- if you unzip the .gz file does the size match up with the .WiGLE file?
- can you send me one of the .WiGLE files (you might want to compress is with something) as it was saved on your system?

thanks, hope i can help!

There are two files: \Digle\data\Johnson County.WiGLE - 619kb and
\Digle\data\Johnson County.gz - 147 kb.

I am behind firewall, but not rewriting. No proxy. There is not problem in the map - I see it quite well, but I don't see any data - menas WiFi spots.

interesting. i can't replicate it here.
do you have any unusual decimal-place settings on your machine (i.e. unusual from the "using '.' as decmial, ',' as 100x seperator) perspective? i should deal with ',' in place of '.' correctly, but i may have missed a spot; i am fallible, rumors to the contrary. what's your language and region setting?

region setting?
Right! I have changed region setting to US and works like a charm!
Thanks.

may i ask what region you're in? (it's ok if you don't wanna say, or prefer to say in pvt.)

I know it is a long time since last post in this thread, but I want to say that the problem still exists.

I had the same problem, and solved it by changing locale to English (US).
(From Norwegian)

I hope you still are able to make a fix for it :)
