Questions are answered when time is available to the answeree, and when we feel like it. most of this is in the FAQ 3) no, the signal will not be amplified. Conceivably the data rate could go up, but it wont because of collisions between the two radios transmitting at the same time. Wireless is not ...

On my new one, it sometimes freaks out and thinks there's a short or capacitance only load when I hook various things up to it. This includes my Compaq laptop, an old corded drill, or almost any desktop CPU. All of which draw way less than 700 watts that it's rated for. If I do get another vector i...

Re: mega mappacks?

would you guys ever think about making the mappacks by state? Unless the state is Rhode Island or Maryland they would get rather unmanageable to download or to navigate. As it is I believe both JiGLE and DiGLE will scroll from map to map automaticlly if you have the adjacent map in the pull down. I...

Also I do notice that when pulling AP data from WiGLE, that the AP's that were uploaded within the last 6 hours or so are not immediately available for download to JiGLE/DiGLE clients. I had mis understood that they were. An idea would be a short length of "====" added into the Jiggle log ...

The only Warning I see is: Jul 20, 2006 9:40:16 AM org.mimezine.jigle.JiGLE loadPropertiesFile WARNING: Load: Can't find file 'WiGLEAPI.properties' This morning I started getting a different DiGLE error too. I get it after attempting to authenticate just like the other. A re-attempt is almost always...

JiGLE/DiGLE station count discrepancy.

I noticed something odd since I usually update my local storage of APs in both JiGLE and DiGLE after uploading a set of files. The AP Counts between the applications are different. Today after I uploaded I updated JiGLE, was given a new station count of 29216 for a county, Then I updated DiGLE, and ...

As part of your move step why not just rename it? there is no real difference in the file contents. Just that the .tgz was a TLA convenince for windows users.

longish rambling post.

I wouldn't worry about the triangulation too much myself. The AP generally gets plotted along a road because that is where it is. If you hit every street in a subdivision, you would have driven right past any given AP, and the strongest signal would play an important part in the triangulation setup....

ok, then the 207 that I pulled fron the query are ones that both were discovered by me with out GPS and have never been seen by anyone else with GPS since then?

If they are seen by someone with GPS later then those coordinates would be inthe system instead of the N 0.0 E 0.0 ?

Does anyone offer a by state Map Pack? Admittedly it would chew up alot of ram for some states but noghting here is close together, and I drive though other counties fairly often. Constantly loading the next county is getting bothersome.

Heaven forbid that I should post information to allow someone to get more networks discovered that they'd upload here and make Whitedice wait a little longer. http://www.wigle.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=935  Mr Dew, you are right on the nose. Yes, I did that some time back and posted the resul...
