Does this mean that ns1 wep status has been fixed? Or should I just settle down for awhile? :o

LOL

Sarcasm is a good thing. LOL. Oh btw, I'm donating $5,000 to the WiGLE project, along with funding for an oc48 to each member's basement.

Why don't we all just go to #WiGLE on EFNet?

I'm there!

Pick a weekend that works for you guys, and I'll come. I'll bring along some friends too. I've been meaning to go to Chicago just for the heck of it for awhile. How many are you in the Chicago area? I'll bring gifts of Jones' Soda. [the BEST soda in the world for those who aren't familiar with it.]

Hmmmmmmmm

Well, the good thing about google's ad program is it's not annoying like most. Nor is it in the way very much. However, I'd caution about getting to ad happy. The coolest thing about WiGLE is that it's above and beyond all of the more commercial sites, both in the community, the site design, and eve...

802.11g or 54g Draft

What is the industry accepted standard? 802.11g or the drafted 54g? You'd think that since IEEE finally approved 802.11g, that everybody would migrate to that. However, because it's slower, I don't see this happening any time soon. Manufactueres are going to want to say that they have the fastest pr...

Lol, if only I knew java

Lol, one of these days if I get around to learning java, and it hasn't been done already, I'll port some code I've got to it and send it to you. Just out of curiousity. . . . What's this WiGLE conference thing you're talking about, and is it possible to get involved in something like that? WiGLE is ...

I might suggest waiting to do this until a better mapping system is in place. The tiling system used by terraserver seems to have been reliable for years now. Maybe wigle could use the same strategy in tiling? Another problem you're bound to have: The DB queries for entire states will return a huge ...

Garmin eTrex (Serial)

I've got the Garmin eTrex. Cheapest one Garmin sells. Works flawlessly. Gets a satellite lock within 20 or 30 seconds. I put it on the dashboard in the front window, but the thing has had an excellent lock anywhere else in the car too. Batteries last a long long time. It's got a lot of nice features...
