Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
Looking good -- no more oceanic destinations on the files where I was seeing the 0,0 coords. -kw, check you files for the date-stamp on the 0,0 coordinates, I'm curious if you see the 1969 dates too. I'm running a Galaxy Core Prime, which is a good performer but I am usually in and out of downtown b...
Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
I also have a run with a bunch of 0.0,0.0 coordinates, example below. One section of this file has 5 points in a row with zero coords, so my GPS must have dropped (though I recall you guys saying you cache the GPS location in case of brief drops). I also noticed the time on all of these points is fu...
Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
> [*]In the KML only points with GPS should be exported. Currently some points go down to Africa. I think these are networks without coordinates. Good find! I had noticed some KML files opening in Google Earth with the globe rotation set to the equator, but hadn't figured out why that was happening.
Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
I've deployed a more aggressive filter - take a look and see if this helps? Looks like you've got it now -- Google Earth opens the KML with the odd SSIDs now. Looks like the bad characters are fully stripped. Here are some fragments with the MAC addresses if you want a closer look at the APs. <coor...
Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
Invalid characters is still missing ^W. I also found a ^U in the same file

I definitely like the MAC tucked inside the details better, must less clutter in Google Earth. In the place mark details, "Encryption" values include "Y", "2&...

For truly unprintables I'd be inclined to go with substituting an underscore or box character.

Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
The files are 1.4MB and 1.3MB, respectively. I took a closer look and found that the lines that upset Google Earth have an unprintable character after the 5 questions marks. vi shows:
Here's the full clause if it helps: <Placemark>
?????^W (2255881954466)</...
Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
This.is.Awesome. Bravo on a great V1 start. A couple of items: Is that the MAC address in parentheses behind the SSID on each PlaceMarker? This takes up a lot of space on the Google Earth output -- I'd prefer the MAC to be down in the details if I click the pin. I found two downloaded KML files that...
Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
Each upload from the WiGLE app results in a stored file on the device, which which is a good approximation of the run - maybe building a way to access these more easily is a good "right now" step while we figure out the bigger challenges above? That would do it for me. I regularly save of...

Auth cookie not sticking?
Anyone else having issues keeping their login active on the main site recently? I keep checking "Don't expire auth cookie" and when I come back in a day I have to login again. The Forums seem to hold my login just fine.

Re: Feature Request: Only show seen by me on map
I agree on the map-per-upload linking, I often would like to have a KML of previous runs that I can pull up in Google Earth or other tools too. I know the app can export the current run to KML, but being able to map different runs via the site Uploads would be cool.
Re: Your best device for wardriving?
A simple Samsung Galaxy Core Prime here, running Android 5.1.1. Works very well for war-driving, it has good sensitivity and nice battery life.

Re: Show networks from local db on Google Maps. With search, filtering, and more!
Doing a fresh load of the main page, it looks like Safari is loading data for about 90 seconds at an average of 70Kbps. I have a 40 meg DSL connection, so the speed limit must be from your side. After the load finishes, it takes about 10 seconds for Safari to render the 'heat map'. Chrome does the l...

Re: Show networks from local db on Google Maps. With search, filtering, and more!
Znerox, this is a very cool site! You live in a very beautiful section of the planet. First suggestion -- drop the Zapf Chancery font. Please :) The site seems to work well in Safari or Chrome on OS X. The zooming heat-map/bubble display is a nice way to summarize the active APs in an area as you zo...
