Re: Bluetooth on 2.36
Hey, thanks for the detailed feedback! Network list: Sorry - we thought we'd eliminated the possibility of duplicates. We're working to diagnose and prevent this. If you'd be willing to share, screenshots and device details would be helpful! Cell/BT Wrapping on top bar : could you send a screenshot?...
Re: How is the Est. Lat and Est. Long calculated?
that remains accurate - we know that that's subject to arterial bias, and doesn't use variations in signal strength, but it seems reliable based on the maps.
Re: Should I see ALL AP's when I look for my own?
Hi lam, There are a number of filters built into the map - "only discovered by me" should show just points you've discovered, "only discovered by others" will limit to contributors that are not you. The time sliders also have a material effect. The map tiles have no query limits ...
Re: WiGLE WiFi Wardriving 2.31 crashing on launch
Glad to help, and thank you for your feedback!
There are so many different android devices out there, with different quirks and configurations, more than we can test ourselves. User reports keep up from going crazy.
Cheers,
-Ark and the WiGLE team

Re: Android App isn't mapping WiFis while driving: Rarely displays dark blue and light blue "balloons" while wardriving
I'm curious, mostly because this element hasn't changed in our software in a very long time.
I've spent the week stress-testing it, and I'm still seeing a large number of points on the map with the G4. We'll continue to explore.

Re: Android App isn't mapping WiFis while driving: Rarely displays dark blue and light blue "balloons" while wardriving
I don't imagine video will tell us anything new, although some screenshots might be useful. My concern is that we can't directly influence the way the third-party library that renders the balloons culls them from memory. Can you tell us a little about your intended use and the expected behavior of t...
Re: WiGLE WiFi Wardriving 2.31 crashing on launch
new version rolling out on partial right now - any luck with 2.36?
Re: Android App isn't mapping WiFis while driving: Rarely displays dark blue and light blue "balloons" while wardriving
short version: your device only shows as many balloons as it can easily fit into free RAM (android has some say in this, but if you're running 7.0 on both devices, you'll probably see similar behavior). If you run low on memory, the app (the mapping library, in point of fact) trims balloons from the...
Re: Android App isn't mapping WiFis while driving: Rarely displays dark blue and light blue "balloons" while wardriving
you posted it in the higher-level forum ("Bugs"), where it remains. It would have been correct to post it here instead of there.
Re: 100,000km run
that is so badass.
per twitter, pleased that the software worked for such a protracted continuous run. I suspect that if you try and export that as KML, it'll crash anything that could try and visualize it.

Re: Android App isn't mapping WiFis while driving: Rarely displays dark blue and light blue "balloons" while wardriving
Sorry about the Yagi disciple - those are forum tags based on how often you post. It's interesting that the mapping core is missing data, but that points are being logged properly. The good news is that this is probably a rendering or settings problem - the bad news is that if it's a rendering probl...

Re: Time can see the web map
There isn't a hard time bound - the biggest determining factor is how much upload data is being processed at the moment. When the upload queue is empty, you'll often see results very quickly - if data is being processed continually, you'll often see times around 45m. If we're swamped (large upload q...
Re: HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed when trying to search through basic search
hah, tracked it down - totally my fault; i tried to DRY-up the code a little too hard. Clear your cache and try again?
Thanks for the find; we appreciate your help!

Re: HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed when trying to search through basic search
That a good find - also it's super obnoxious. If you look at the network traffic console, it's sending the search request as a POST instead of a GET, even though the jquery ajax request is explicitly configured to use GET. We'll try and figure out whether we've got some kind of subtle misconfigurati...
Re: Zoom in on SSID
not a noob question at all - it's hard to do! The real problem is that we don't link javascript and image tiles well enough - the tiles are great because they don't crush our network and your client, but "breaking the barrier" to get to real data at the end of a zoom is hard. Short version...
