Re: wigle wifi for android exit with out saving?
the app updates an on-device database while it is running, so pending an exciting large range of hardware and software failure cases: the data is safe between restarts. there's a placeholder in that database that lets the app know what the last thing uploaded was, so you don't need to upload every t...
eleventy years old
11 years ago yesterday, wigle.net sprung into existence. 4018 days later, we're still here, and still crunching the numbers (over 72 million network beacons seen) to turn all of your observations (over 1.6 billion!) of the world into pretty maps and stats; thank you all for making this craziness pos...
Re: Timestamps
you're up against a couple of things: firsttime is user-reported, so... it is whenever (and in whatever timezone, if any)
lasttime is us central currently, and could probably do with being UTC-ified.

Re: Downloading data through JiGLE for any geographic area
first thing would be to check your logs and make sure you're not excepting at somepoint, you may need to adjust either your crafted mappack or your java runtime variables. the second would be to "refresh current mappack" (and make sure you're using a recent JiGLE, say 0.8.0), the load/cach...
Re: Downloading data to democratize geolocation?
i'd say "you must be new here", but you are, obviously. everything is easy until you look into what's actually involved. your specific interests do not, infact, generalize well; if you'd like to work the kinks out of a distributed, available, CAP-aware geospace map/reduce system: i will be...
Re: Wigle for Android (Question)
