Re: Map Printout readability

My name's Jim. Only went with the random numerical name because WiGLE was giving me a LOT of problems logging in, originally. The instructions varied between the Internet page, and the handheld page. And, my Moto X 1st generation has given me a lot of trouble. It may have something that Bobzilla cal...

Map Printout readability

I print out the maps in order to help guide me on wardriving runs. Originally I used <CTRL>-P, which stopped operating correctly many months ago, and hasn't been repaired. I shifted to using <CTRL>-<PRT SC>, and then editing the resulting image using Google-Paint. The problem is that the resulting p...

Re: It's time to archive/expire old data

There is a feature which would be useful to add. Currently, if I set the time slider to 2016-2017, it shows on the map only the APs which where NEWLY OBSERVED during the 2016 time frame. How about adding a slider to show all APs which were OBSERVED during a given time range. Explanation: Suppose an ...

Re: Wi-Fi signal radius generator/calculator?

Unfortunately, WiGLE doesn't seem to have a good, reliable AP positioning algorithm. For an obvious specific example, consider Vancouver Washington, at NE Seasons Ln, just north of the intersection between NE 18th and NE Seasons Ln. It's a winding road generally going NNE, away from buildings for a ...

Re: Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

I just mean taking a screenshot, then printing the resulting image. If you're on windows looks like this might explain: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/take-screen-capture-print-screen#take-screen-capture-print-screen=windows-8 I press the "prt sc" button, and nothing happens. ...

Re: Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

I looked into it for a few hours, was able to get a google map to show (without our overlay images, and only if the browser window is tiny) by reducing the minimum size. Tried many other things, haven't gotten it to work. Firefox, Chrome and Opera are unhappy. Safari on osx seems to work well, if y...

Re: Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

It's just the map tiles not printing, which is mostly javascript from google, so yes, other pages would be unaffected. It's possible google changed something, or something changed on your machine. Either way we're unlikely to spend any more time debugging it since it's doubtful many folks try to pr...

Re: Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

We've not really played with printing anything before, but looks like the tiles don't show for me in Chrome or Firefox on OSX, but do in Safari. Arkasha is seeing tiles for Chrome and Firefox on OSX though. So seems to browser or machine specific. Well, now I have tried printing maps on "Machi...

Re: Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

I don't understand why you suggest that few people print out maps. I have found that's virtually essential. I have never had much luck with the "map" function on the Android. The maps either expand and are unreadable, or I can only see a tiny fraction of the area that I will want to scan. ...

Re: Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

Well perhaps so, but as I pointed out in a private email to you, the CTRL-P (print screen) function still works in the Tools tab, as well as Stats, or Info, or Uploads. Just not in the Map function of View, and it worked quite well in Map for 3+ months. It sure sounds like you must have done somethi...

Print maps using CTRL-P Now fails.

For months, I have been printing out maps of areas using the CTRL-P function of my computer. (Print screen; Chrome, WIndows 7). Within the last few weeks, that stopped working. I have now tried MS Internet Explorer; same failure mode. I think Wigle.net has done something to muck it up. Can anybody t...

Re: Moto X trouble

You said, "Just a thought, but, could you be accidentally hitting the app's mute button now and then?" I am definitely not hitting any button, The Moto X is hanging upside down, from its power cord, from my rearview mirror, and only rarely do I ever touch it. When I DO touch it, it is to '...

Moto X trouble

I started a bit over 2 months ago, and am up to about 105,000 AP discovered. I use a Moto X 1st generation, and have had nothing but trouble since I started. For one thing, for a while (many days) after I started, I never heard any audio, including beeps and boops and any other audio audio message. ...
