Web maps are down again
I'm seeing the same problem again this moring, map is hanging during a zoom.
I'm using same IE version winxp sp2 as others.

they are most definitely up.
when did you have this problem?
the mapserver is restarted every morning, and if you happened to hit it then you'd see a temporarary outage.

Even the old maps are hanging when I do a zoom at this location..

okay. that's not "hanging" that's a blank bit on the map :-)
and if you provide information like that earlier on (more information is better for finding bugs), we can probably resolve it quicker. looking into it.

btw, I get those quite often. I know now what they are called.
sorry, not trying to be snarky. the server /does/ actually hang, and not serve any images, instead of serving blank (except for the logo) images on occasion.
I've never seen this particular problem before (at least not repeatably),
and we can't fix what we don't know is broken. It is being looked into by the best possible people. (which is to say: others than me)

While we are on the subject. Why do some map panels have large dots representing the aps verses an adjacent panel having small.sorry, not trying to be snarky. the server /does/ actually hang, and not serve any images, instead of serving blank (except for the logo) images on occasion.

Actually these 2 areas overlap. But for some reason the maps uses a different display mode to show the aps when you pan or recenter the map panel.
