Access points location data

Hi everyone,

I am a graduate student & I need some information for my research. I want the locations (x,y) of Access points in some city (could be any one). I basically need the data which tells me what are the roads and where are the access points situated.

Is such data availble on the WiGle website? I was unable to find ..

use of wigle data is subject to the eula. that may not mesh with your needs.
the best way to get your own data is... to get your own data. net-stumbling is easy and fun (and you can sometimes even trust your own results!)

as far as "what is a road" that also is best determined on your own (and a delightful existential question). wigle uses us census tiger data for our united states roadmaps, and you may be able to get the road data you need out of there (depending on your accuracy/precision needs, and if you're looking at the USA)
