WiGLE: the reskinning!
OK, so after using the same site for years, we decided to clean up the layout, add some glitz, and a few new features/improvements like simplifying the mappack generation system and adding .tar.gz and .zip archive upload support. I'm sure there'll be opinions on this, so please feel free to leave feedback... the old site and its links are still all there.
I love the bubbly blue theme (page and the stats), icons and logo. The orange uploads page is nicely done.
Here are the how abouts:
- How about a new default forum skin?
- How about a new matching favicon.ico?
Here are the fix-its
Follow [our fashion advice] link( http://cafeshops.com/wigle ) still isn't fixed or valid.
- Not sure if it is just me but the RSS link still isn't happy with the Live Bookmark feature (Live bookmark failed to load message). Anyone else?

In between uploading a file and viewing the forum, the site is suddenly all new and improved!OK, so after using the same site for years, we decided to clean up the layout, add some glitz
Hey, really looks great. A really unique style, and that is a good thing!
Shouldn't the Networks Over Time be captioned as "Networks Per Two Days, Halved" at the bottom? Or will you add a graph that actually has the resolution to reflect individual days?
Ok Here is how I envisioned the RSS feed working:
I wrote this little 4 step procedure to accomplish this:
http://www.chroniclesofawardriver.org/W ... k_Test.htm
I also have modified the xml accordingly to work as described:
http://www.chroniclesofawardriver.org/w ... dified.xml
This 2nd modification also passesfeedvalidator as a valid rss feed
http://www.chroniclesofawardriver.org/w ... fied_2.xml
... adding the current process queue wouldn't be a bad idea either
I hope this helps fix the RSS issue! (or at least get closer to it)

nice work, israel!
So, we've cleaned up the validation errors. sorry about that. the next question is the formatting of the data. I also used a title-based RSS reader, and so Israel's modification works great for me. The question for this forum is: where would you like to see the statistics, and where would you like to see the description? From our side, these are basically name=value pairs, and we can organize them over the RSS feed however you'd like.
i'm moving this thread into project suggestions, where i think it belongs:

The SSID Stats doesn't appear to have a new skin - was it an oversight or an intentional drop or a known ToDo, or am I just clueless?
If implemented, could you add a Percentage of Total column?

hehe.
bob actually mentioned after i'd taken the reskin live that he'd integrated that w/ the stats page... this thing took a while, so i'd missed some changes here and there. i'll do that as soon as i get a moment.
sorry for the inconsistent look/feel in the meantime.
